Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima, has rated Gov. Umar Namadi’s agricultural transformation as globally competent.
He said the governor had achieved massive agricultural transformation in just two years.
Shettima gave the commendation on Friday in Gumel Emirate, Jigawa, during a visit to celebrate the Emir of Gumel’s 45th anniversary on the throne.
“It is highly impressive, how Gov. Namadi has transformed Jigawa’s agriculture into a modern one in just two years.
“I must commend the governor and the people of Jigawa for the laudable achievements,” he said.
Shettima further congratulated the Emir of Gumel, Alhaji Muhammadu Sani for attaining 45 years on the throne of Gumel Emirate, and wished him good health.
“Your highness, I want to use this opportunity to congratulate you on your 45th anniversary on the throne as Emir of the historic city of Gumel,” Shettima said.
He assured continuous commitment of ‘The Kashim Shetima Foundation’, to transforming the lives of Nigerian citizens.
The VP inaugurated a new Friday Mosque constructed by the Kashim Shettima Foundation in Gumel, as part of the 45th anniversary of the Emir.
Speaking at the Emir’s Palace, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, commended the vice president for commissioning the Mosque.
The Sultan also congratulated the Emir of Gumel on his 45th anniversary and standing firm with his people.
In a short speech, Gov. Namadi commended the vice president for what he described as a wise investment in the path of Allah.
He also acknowledged the commendation by the VP on Jigawa’s massive agricultural transformation, pledging that more of such innovations were on the way.
