Jigawa state Executive Council has approved for the commencement of Jigawa state Creativity and Innovation Week, to promote creativity and innovation in the state.
The state Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sport and Culture,  Mr Sagir Musa made this known on Tuesday, while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the state Executive Council meeting.

He said that annual event will commence from 2025, in line with the Namadi administration’s commitment to talent development, for the teeming youths, with a view to foster the spirit of creativity and innovation amongst them.

The Council according to him, has also approved the release of N516,147,090.00 only, for the purchase of 184 return tickets in
respect of 185 Jiagwa State students.

The students he said, are undergoing various Medical and applied medical courses at Near East University, Cyprus against the 2024/2025 academic session.
Meanwhile, the Council has also, the directed the Security Guards Companies engaged by the state, to allow all the female security operatives to wear Hijabs to cover themselves during duty hours.
It was recalled that the state recruited about 9,969 security operatives young men and women, to secure Schools, Hospital and other public places.
