Gov. Umar Namadi of Jigawa state, has signed Jigawa State’s 2025 budget into law, valued at N698.3 billion and the largest budget ever in the history of Jigawa.

A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,  Mr Hamisu Gumel made this known on Tuesday.

The statement said that the budget was signed at the Council Chambers of the Government House, Dutse.

Speaking at the event, Gov. Namadi explained the purpose behind the record-breaking budget.

“This year’s budget of N698.3 billion naira is the highest in the history of Jigawa State. It is designed to restructure the state into a greater one,” he said.

The statement however, revealed that 76 per cent of the budget has been allocated to capital projects, noting the administration’s focus on infrastructure and development.
The governor according to the statement, explained that these investments are aimed at building a foundation for lasting economic growth and progress.

He thus expressed gratitude to the Jigawa State House of Assembly, for their swift passage of the budget, applauding them their dedication to the state’s progress.

Namadi further urged all stakeholders to ensure full implementation of the budget, so that the impact is felt in every corner of Jigawa.

Describing the 2025 budget as a vision for the future, Namadi reiterated his administration’s commitment to creating opportunities and improving the lives of the people in the state.

“We are committed to building a better future for Jigawa,” he revealed.
