Tudun Fulani Community in Tarauni local government area of Kano, has commissioned a security office and a toilet facility for Civilian Joint Task Force Zone 1, to support grassroots security support association.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Tudun Fulani Neighbourhood Development Association, Alhaji Adamu Garba, expressed gratitude to the residents and supporters who contributed to the project’s success.
He emphasized that the initiative reflects the community’s collective resolve, to support government efforts in tackling security challenges and ensuring the safety of lives and property within the neighbourhood.
According to him, “Security is a shared responsibility, not the government’s burden alone. Every citizen and community must play an active role in supporting security agencies to create a peaceful environment for all.
He however, called on other communities to emulate the initiative by coming together to strengthen local security infrastructure.”
Alhaji Garba also extended appreciation to Hon. Tukur Muhammad Fagge for his invaluable support in providing solar street lights, which enhanced security visibility and facilitate the completion of the project.
He further commended all stakeholders who make contributions within the neighbourhood, for their steadfast commitment and cooperation in ensuring the success of this initiative.
The newly commissioned facility is expected to serve as a vital operational base for the CJTF, providing better working conditions and improving response capacity in the area.
The facility is wholly owned by the community, and local residents have pledged to maintain and preserve it as a shared asset for the collective good.
The commissioning ceremony, attracted a cross-section of community leaders and security stakeholders, including the district and ward heads, representatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Vigilante Group.
The community leaders and invited guests praised the project as a model of public community partnership and a practical example of citizens’ participation in nation-building.
Meanwhile prayers were offered for sustained peace and a renewed commitment from residents, to uphold the values of cooperation, vigilance, and community solidarity in Tudun Fulani, Unguwar Gano, Tarauni LGA.
