
Kano State Transport Authority, has embarked on verification of staff to identify ghost workers and retain its genuine staff.
The Acting Managing Director of the company, Alh Sa’idu Abdullahi declared the exercise open on Thursday, according to a statement signed by the company’s spokesperson, Abubakar Sharada,
It said that Alh Abdullahi, also doubles as the Chairman of the Kano Line Revival Committee, said the exercise is part of the 14 point Terms of Reference mandated to them by Kano State Governor Alh Abba Kabir.
The Acting Managing Director therefore, enjoined all staff of the company, to appear before the Committe for the verification from 8 am to 5pm.
Abdullahi however, reaffirmed the Committe’s resolve to work tirelessly to revive the company, being the oldest Government Transport Company in the Country established about forty years ago.
He further commended Governor Abba Kabir for the confidence bestowed on them and pledged to uphold the trust and called for the cooperation of all stakeholders, to enable the Committee discharge its duties smoothly and successfully.
