Jigawa state Taskforce Committee set up to recover government’s official number plates has solicited for the support of the Emir of Ringim, Alhaji Sayyadi Abubukar.
Speaking at the Emir’s Palace, the Chairman of the Committee, DC Tijjani Murtala, told the Emir that the Committee was set up to identify unauthorized Government official number plates.
Represented by DCC Aminu Abba, DC Tijjani Murtala solicited the support and cooperation of the Royal Father, to ensure full enforcement of the retrieval of the unauthorized Government official number plates used by members of Public in the State.
The Chairman lamented how persons who are not in government offices, go about with vehicles bearing government’a official number plates.
He explained that government is also aware that some retired public servants (political office holders and civil servants), failed to return official number-plates attached to the vehicles when they were in office.
According to him, “The number plates remain government property but some people have brazenly removed them from vehicles kept with mechanics.
Responding, the Emir of Ringim, Alhaji Sayyadi Abubukar, gave assurance to the Committee, that the Emirate will support them.
Represented by the Madakin Ringim, Alhaji Bashari Shu’aibu, the Emir commended the Committee for the visit and assured them of all possible support and cooperation to achieve the desired objectives.
