    Jigawa state signs MoU with security providers to enhance safety in schools

    Jigawa State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), with three Security Service Providers, to enhance safety of critical public institutions, including schools, hospitals and courts across the State.
    This was contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Office of the Secretary to the State Government,  Mr Ismail Ibrahim on Wednesday, in Dutse.
    It said that while signing the MOU on behalf of the State Government, the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Mr Bala Ibrahim described the act as a landmark initiative.
    The SSG according to the report, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring the security and well-being of its citizens.

    “The collaboration, aims to implement comprehensive security strategies, tailored to meet the unique needs of each institution.

    “The measures will include the deployment of trained security personnel and on the job training of teachers, healthcare workers and judicial personnel,” it assured.

    Mr Bala in the report, also expressed confidence in the agreement, stating, that the safety of the children in schools, healthcare workers in the hospitals and judicial personnel at the courts is paramount.

    He further described the partnership with security service providers, as a proactive step towards ensuring that essential services operate in safe environments, devoid of fear of security threats.

    “This collaboration is not merely a response to immediate challenges, but a strategic move towards long-term development and safety for all Jigawa citizens,” The SSG stressed.

    The state government Ibrahim added, will work closely with the security service providers, to ensure that the implemented measures are effective and sustainable.

    Furthermore, Ibrahim in the report, explained that the monitoring will include regular evaluation to adapt as needed, based on the changing security landscape.

    The government however, urged all stakeholders, including parents, healthcare workers and legal practitioners, to support the initiative for the collective benefit of the community.

    Responding on behalf of the three Security Service Providers, Mr Zubairu Ahmed from the Karakallo Global Security Network, expressed their readiness to support the state.
    “We feel honored to partner with Jigawa State on this important initiative. We will do our best to help the state enhance community trust in these institutions,” it said.

    He commended Gov. Umar Namadi of the state, for his commitment towards enhancing safety in schools, hospitals and courts across the State.

    It was gathered that the MOU was signed with Corporate Security and Intelligence Studies limited, Jumad Security Services and consultancy limited and Karakallo Global Security Network.
