The Jigawa State Police Command, has announced the commencement of a shooting range exercise for Police Constables, scheduled to begin Saturday, April 19, 2025 and ends Sunday, May 11, 2025.
A statement signed by SP Shiisu Adam, the Command’s spokesperson made this known on Friday, revealing that the exercise will take place at Tsohon Kafi Village in Birnin Kudu Local Government Area.
The objective of the training he said, is to enhance the operational readiness, weapon-handling skills, and marksmanship of newly recruited constables, in line with the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to professionalism and public safety.
The Command, according to the statement, urged residents of the area and surroundings, not to panic upon hearing gunshots during the period of the exercise.
The spokesperson in the statement, disclosed that “all activities will be strictly supervised and conducted in a safe and controlled environment.”
The Command however, appreciated the continued cooperation and understanding of the public, in supporting to maintain peace and security across Jigawa state.
