Director General of the Jigawa state Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo has said that the board has almost concluded preparations for the 2025 Hajj operations.
In an interview with newsmen on the progress achieved, Labbo said, the board has submitted a list of over 1,000 intending pilgrims who completed payments for the hajj fare, to National Hajj Commission of Nigeria(NAHCON).
Labbo explained that, the board has so far paid N8 billion to the NAHCON, as settled by the state intending pilgrims, who are due to be enrolled into the Visa process.
The DG also disclosed that daily orientation sessions across the twenty seven local government areas is in progress and is conducted by prominent Islamic clerics in the state.
Labbo however, urged the intending pilgrims to be attending the daily orientation lectures due to its importance.
He further explained that the board will begin the distribution of 8kg bags and uniforms to zonal and center officers, for onward distribution to prospective pilgrims.
The Pilgrims board Boss, commended Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa state, for his total support and cooperation, to ensure a hitch-free exercise.
It could be recalled that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), allocated 1,500 seats to Jigawa state for the 2025 hajj exercise.
