Jigawa state Executive Council has approved the sum of N19,632,536,424.30K only, for the construction of 560 Mass Housng in nine local government areas of the state.

The state Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sport and Culture,  Mr Sagir Musa, made this known on Tuesday, while briefing newsmen in the outcome e of the weekly executive council meeting in Dutse.

He said that project will be conducted in Babura, Birnin Kudu, Dutse, Gumel, Hadejia, Kafin Hausa, Kazaure, Maigatari and Ringim local governments respectively.

According to Musa, “the construction of 560 mass housing, is in line with Namadi administration’s vision for inclusive development and sustainable urban growth.

“So the council has approved the award of contract for the construction of 560 3-Bedrooms Detach and 2-Bedrooms SemiDetach, under the Mass Housing Estate Phase II, with wall fence,” he said.

He stressed that the approval has demonstrated the administration’s commitment to addressing the housing needs of the people of Jigawa State. 

“This commitment is not merely a policy declaration, but a practical aim to improve living conditions, boost local economy through construction-related employment and fostering a more resilient and equitable Jigawa,” Musa explained.
