Jigawa state commits to alleviate housing deficits, acquires Dantata’s Housing Estate

Jigawa state Executive Council under the Namadi administration,  has moved to alleviate housing deficits in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital through acquisition of a housing estate belonging to Dantata and Sawoe, a famous construction firm.

Mr Sagir Musa, the Jigawa state Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports and Culture,  made this known on an interview with newsmen in Dutse, shortly after the state Executive council meeting.

According to him, the property was acquired at the sum of N650 million, for the property situated in a land measured approximately 200m x

100m size, with major structures including 6 Blooks of 12 Units of 1
Bedrooms chalets semi-detached bungalows.

The property he said, also has a 2 Block of 2 -Bedrooms fully detached, 1 Block of 2 Units of 2 Bedroom semi-detached bungalows (family chalets 1 & 2), 1 Block of 4-Bedroom fully detached bungalows used as Guest House.

In addition, the Housing Estate has 1 Block of 6 Units 1 bedroom apartments and 1 Block of 30 Units of tenements single rooms, described as driver’s quarters with a single toilets/bathe among others.

The state executive council has also deliberated on a Bill, to enact a to establish Jigawa Agricultural Transformation Agency (JATA), as part of the  government’s Agricultural Transformation drive in the State.

Following the deliberation, the council approved the proposed Bill, to be directed to the state House of Assembly, for legislation and subsequent passage into Law.
