    Jigawa Police command commemorates National Police Day, conducts medical outreach

    Jigawa state Police command has joined the nation in commemorating the National Police Day by conducting medical outreach services in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital.

    A statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Shiisu Adam made this known on Thursday.
    Speaking at the event, Jigawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Tijjani Abdullahi, reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force, to ensuring the well-being of citizens beyond law enforcement duties.
    The report said the CP emphasized that the medical outreach aligns with the Force’s community policing agenda, fostering trust and strengthening the bond between law enforcement and the public.

    “The Nigeria Police Force is not only committed to maintaining law and order, but also to the overall welfare of the people we serve.

    “This free medical initiative reflects our dedication to community service, and we are pleased with the turnout and positive impact it has made,” CP  stated.
    The humanitarian initiative, held at Dutse Ultramodern Market Dutse, provided essential healthcare services, including general medical consultations, blood pressure checks and

    Other medical services provided during the outreach included malaria test, sharing of treated mosquito nets  and free distribution of essential medications.
    Additionally, health education sessions were conducted to create awareness on prevalent health issues and preventive care.

    Beneficiaries of the outreach expressed their gratitude to the Jigawa State Police Command and the Nigeria Police Force for extending its services beyond security.

    The elderly and less privileged amongst the beneficiaries highlighted that the initiative has granted them access to much-needed healthcare services they could not afford.
