Malam Madori local government area of Jigawa state has said that it has offered free oral and dental treatment for 60 persons in the area, to promote primary health in the area.
The Information of the area of the council, Alhaji Musa Muhammed reported that the Dentist who coordinated the program, Mr Abdulkareem Ibrahim, said they have successfully treated over 60 persons with oral cavity issues.
He further revealed that while some of the beneficiaries were diagnosed and treated, some received free prescribed drugs for their various ailments.
Shedding light on the program, thr special adviser to the Council Chairman on new media, Mr Abba Maigoro, explained that the beneficiaries who travelled from far, were supported with transport allowance to ease expenses.
He further notified that the beneficiaries were selected from various wards of the local Government Council, to benefit free program.
The program was initiated by the council chairman, Honourable Salisu Sani Garun-gabas, to assist individuals with tooth and oral infections.
The Chairman however, explained that it was an effort to complement the Namadi administration’s agenda, of providing quality and affordable healthcare to Jigawa state citizens.
