    Jigawa Governor’s aide supports students with 1,000 students with educational materials

    The Special Assistant to the Jigawa State Governor on Basic Education, Mr Ali Mati, has supported 1,000 students with educational materials in Babura local government are of Jigawa state.
    A statement signed by the local government’s Information Officer Mr Sulaiman Daudu made this known on Wednesday.
    It said that the Wife of the Governor, Hajiya Amina Namadi, led the distribution of the educational materials to commemorate the World Children’s Day.
    The event according to the statement, was organised to honor and inspire children with the distribution of school uniforms and learning materials to the over 1,000 students across the local government.
    “A Spelling Bee competition was also organized, to promote academic excellence and boost students’ confidence, with gifts and awards presented to outstanding participants,” it said.

    In her address, Mrs Amina Namadi reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to child welfare, particularly in education.

    She commended the students for their active participation and lauded the organizers for their efforts in motivating and empowering the next generation.

    In his remarks, the organiser of the event, Mr Ali Mati Ali, stated that  Children’s Day celebration serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility, to secure the future of children.

    He also highlighted the administration’s educational development agenda and acknowledged the support of key stakeholders.

    Ali further expressed gratitude to Governor Umar Namadi of the state,  for his efforts to revitalize education at all levels.

    Mr Hamisu Muhammad Garu, Chairman of Babura Local Government, revealed that the local government had launched a program to combat the out-of-school children menace.
    The LG he said, had distributed free  writing materials, school uniforms, and bags to pupils.
    He reaffirmed the local council’s commitment to supporting the state’s educational policies and initiatives.

    Awards were presented to schools and students who excelled in the competitions, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees and reinforcing the importance of education in shaping a brighter future.
