    Jigawa first lady donates food and clothing to orphans in Birnin-Kudu

    Jigawa state Firat Lady, Mrs Amina Umar Namadi, distributing donated items in Birnin-Kudu
    Birnin-Kudu, March 15, 2025
    Residents of Birnin-Kudu local government area of Jigawa state, have commended Jigawa First lady, Mrs Amina Namadi, for donating food items and clothing to 1,700 orphans.
    Some of them who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), at a function on Saturday, after receiving the items donated by the first lady, expressed happiness after the kindness.
    Mrs Amina Zarainawa, one of them who received a piece of wrapper, a bag of rice and some books donated for her two orphans, expressed delight.
    She said that despite the community’s support, this particular support by the first lady was remarkable.
    Also, Mr Umar Birnin-Kudu,  a guardian to two orphans left by his brother, also commended the first lady for her concern for the orphans and the vulnerable group.
    In his remarks at the distribution ceremony, District Head of Birnin-Kudu,  Alh Hassan Jibrin, commended the first lady for her gesture.
    He expressed happiness over the efforts of the Namadi administration for investing into the welfare of his people.
    Also in his remarks, the Chairman of the local council, Dr Muhammad Uba, said the first lady’s empathy is laudable.
    In her speech before the distribution, Mrs Namadi reminded parents and the community, on their responsibilities towards orphans and vulnerable groups.
    She commended the attitudes displayed by the children in the community during the distribution,  saying that they are well behaved
    Mrs Namadi pledged to continue supporting the orphans and the vulnerable in communities across Jigawa state and beyond.
    The First lady further commended the local government Chairman and the traditional institution in the area, for providing support to the orphans in the community for the past decades.
    Mrs Amina Namadi, donated about 1,000 pieces of wrappers, food items and books to the vulnerable children in the Birnin-Kudu community.
