Honorable Ibrahim Hannunguwa, has reported to the Jigawa state Ministry for Local governments as the new Commissioner on Monday.
Hannungiwa, who was previously the state Commissioner for Water Resources, was amongst the three Xommissioners whose portfolio was changed by the state Governor Umar Namadi in the last weeks.
On assumption, Hannungiwa solicited for support from the staff of the Ministry, in order to have a synergy and smooth operation in the Ministry.
In a hand over ceremony from his predecessor, Mr Ahmed Garba who was moved to the Ministry of Land, Hannungiwa said there is need to assist the Governor in achieving his 12 point agenda.
He therefore tasked all staff to comit to the Ministry’s demands and work tirelessly to achieve the set goals.
Earlier in his remarks, the out-going Commissioner, Mr Ahmed Garba, commended the state Governor Umar Namadi, for given him an opportunity to serve in the sector.
He called on the staff of the Ministry, to accord the new Commissioner a maximum cooperation for positive transformation of the sector.
It could be recalled that Malam Umar Namadi during the last Council meeting, reshuffled his cabinet and reassigned portfolio to three Commissioners.
Mr Ibrahim Hannun Giwa was moved to the Ministry for Local Government, from Ministry of Water Resources, Mr Ahmed Garba moved from Local governments to the Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban Development, while Mr Muhammad Alhassan moved to Ministry of Water Resources, from the Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban Development.
