    BUK records success in 2024 NUC accreditation exercise

    Bayero University Kano has recorded success in the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation exercise conducted in October/November 2024.

    A statement signed by the University Registrar Mr Haruna Aliyu, disclosed that a total of 53 academic programmes across various faculties were evaluated.
    All the programs he said, have received full or accredited status, confirming the University’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance.

    “The comprehensive accreditation covers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Administration, Agriculture, Allied Health Sciences, Arts, Computing, Education, Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Social Sciences.

    “The outcome of this rigorous accreditation exercise reflects the University’s sustained investment in faculty development, infrastructure, curriculum improvement, and research advancement.

    “It is a validation of our strategy to position Bayero University, Kano as a premier institution of higher learning in Nigeria and beyond,” the statement revealed.

    It stressed that the full accreditation status granted to the 54 programmes is valid for five years and guarantees that students admitted into these programmes are enrolled in NUC-approved and quality-assured curricula.

    Furthermore, the management of the University, commended the efforts of all Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, administrative staff, and students whose dedication and contributions made this achievement possible.
    It thus reaffirmed its commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in teaching, research, and community service, inviting prospective students and all stakeholders to join the community in advancing the frontiers of knowledge and innovation.
