Umar Namadi of Jigawa state, has said that the state has earmarked over over N90 billion, about 16 per cent of it’s capital investment in the 2025 approved budget, to social welfare. Dutse, March 13, 2025 Jigawa state Executive Council, has approved the sum of N1,832,724,197.59, as loan to Jigawa State Pilgrim Board to settle all fees for Jigawa State intending pilgrims for 2025 Hajj Operations. Dutse, March 8, 2025 United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in collaboration with Jigawa state government, has commenced the training of 600 women in environmental sustainability, through waste to wealth initiative. Dutse, March 6, 2025 Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa state has said that the state has expended N342 million, to establish Safe Schools Rapid Response Coordination Centre in the state. Namadi made this known on Thursday at the opening of a 2-day safe schools stakeholders’ forum on security of schools in Dutse, The centre he said, will serve as a central hub for monitoring potential emergencies and coordinating swift responses. Dutse, March 5, 2025 Jigawa state government has warned food vendors trusted with the free feeding program to avoid inconsistency or face sanctions. The state Commissioner for Special Duties, Mr Auwal Sankara, gave the warning in a statement on Wednesday in Dutse.
