Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa state, has set an annual target to produce 3.6 million metric tonnes of rice, through the cultivation of 1.2 million hectares of land. Dutse, April 13, 2025 Director General of the Jigawa state Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo has said that the board has almost concluded preparations for the 2025 Hajj operations. In an interview with newsmen on the progress achieved, Labbo said, the board has submitted a list of over 1,000 intending pilgrims who completed payments for the hajj fare, to National Hajj Commission of Nigeria(NAHCON).
