Aisha Ahmed  Dutse, Aug.27, 2025 Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi, has signed a law to establish a Ministry for Livestock Development, to boost agricultural productivity, innovation and economic growth in the state. A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,  Mr Hamisu Gumel, said the law was signed on Tuesday. Dutse, Aug.17, 2025 People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has beaten Nigeria’s ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC), at polling unit 001 of Kofar Arewa Primary school polling Centre, Babura, where the ex Governor, Mr Badaru Abubakar casted his vote. Dutse, Aug. 17, 2025 The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has announced that the All Progressives Congress (APC), has emerged victorious at the just concluded Garki/Babura by-election Federal Constituency of Jigawa state. The returning officer, Prof Sani Ibrahim Ismail, announced the results in Babura local government collation centre at about 3:30 am on Sunday. Dutse, Aug. 6, 2025 Jigawa state under the Namadi administration, has connected several rural communities with road networks in the past two years, in addition to completion of abandoned road projects. Dutse, July 29, 2025  Jigawa state executive council, has increased funding for its basic healthcare initiative J-abasic, a free basic health service for the vulnerable and another citizens of the state. The State Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sport and Culture,  Mr Sagir Musa, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen after the Council meeting on Tuesday in Dutse.
