Gov. Umar Namadi of Jigawa state has approved the appointment of Muhammad Faiz, as the pioneer Commander General of the Jigawa State Hisbah Board.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the State government, Mr Bala Ibrahim made this known on Tuesday.
The statement said that the development is part of the Governor’s efforts to enhance the operations and effectiveness of the new Hisbah board.
Others appointed include Dr. Husaini Yusuf as the Deputy Commander General, Mr Lawan Danbala, Assistant Commander General, Headquarters and Yunusa Idris as Assistant Commander General, Dutse Zone.
Mr Abdulkadir Zakar was appointed as the Assistant Commander General, Hadejia Zonenand Mr Suraja Adamu, Assistant Commander General, Gumel Zone.
While Mr Bello Gada was appointed the Assistant Commander General, Kazaure Zone, Esq. Barrister Mustapha Habu will serve as Secretary/Legal Adviser of the Board.
Mr Ibrahim in the statement, emphasized that these appointments were made based on merit, competence, and personal integrity.
He urged the new appointees to meet the expectations placed upon them and serve with fear of God.
Furthermore, the statement revealed that the appointees have received their letters of appointment and are expectee to begin their duties with immediate effect.
In response, according to the statement, the newly appointed Commander General, Muhammad Faiz, expressed gratitude to the governor and pledged to work diligently.
