    Jigawa Golden Stars FC accuses Barau FC of ill treatment in Kazaure

    Jigawa Golden Stars Football Club, has accused Barau Football club Kano, of ill treatment at a football match between the clubs 8n Saturday, at the Kazaure Township Stadium.
    A statement signed by the club’s Public Relations Officer,  Mr Ibrahim Isyaku made this known in Sunday in Dutse.
    The statement said that the match was marred by systematic biased intimidation,and violations of the Laws of the Game, which compromised the safety of our players, officials, and supporters.
    The statement accused the team’s referees of blatant partiality, where they were denied two clear penalties.
    The Jigawa Golden also accused the Barau referees of unjust issueing of red card a key player, Musa Musa, without justifiable cause.
     Two goals for Barau FC according to the report, were permitted despite clear offside and handball violations.

    “These actions contravenes the FIFA’s Laws of the game and raise serious concerns about referee integrity.

    Also, the Jigawa Golden stars accused Barau Club, for mobilizing large number of supporters who created confusion at the stadium, thus creating a hostile environment and verbally insulting and threatening our players and staff.

     Moreso, Jigawa Golden stars accused their opponents of mobilising unauthorized armed security Personnel, who intimidated their team and disrupted the match proceedings.

    The statement however, solicits for impartial investigation into the conduct of the Barau Football Club’s referee and management.

    The club also prayed that disciplinary measures and appropriate sanctions be taken against the referees of Barau FC and all those involved in intimidating them.dividuals.

    They further called for enhanced security guidelines and referee accountability measures, to prevent recurrence.

    Furthermore, the team in the statement revealed that they have compiled substantial evidences including video footage of the match, photographs of the unauthorized security personnel and the crowd misconduct.

    “We also have eye witness statements from officials, players and spectators, in addition to the match reports detailing procedural violations.

    The statement was copied to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Nigeria Referees Association and the Nigerian national league (NNL) respectively.
