
Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has inspected various projects on his arrival from Morocco, before reaching the government House on Wednesday.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mustapha Muhammad on Wednesday in Kano.
The governor according to the statement, cautioned contractors on high standards and demands excellent and quality work without compromise.
“I trust this company, but I must stress that I won’t tolerate any compromise on quality, contractors must meet standards, regardless of how close you are to me,” he warned.
Also, Mr Yusuf inspected the Lodge Road roundabout and directed that the center of the roundabout should be landscaped and beautified, particularly around the street lights.
“You have to grow tree at 6 Meters interval and in between should be adorned with beautiful grasses towards the street lights.A fountain should also be placed at the round about,” he ordered.
Moreso, Gov.Yusuf detoured to inspect a mosque under construction, where he gave directives on modifications and improvements to the structure and its surroundings.
He further directed that the Kano state commissioner of works, Engr. Marwan Ahmad, must ensure compliance to all the suggestions and amendments he made.
The report said that the governor is making a design that would give Kano government house a good look, suggesting that the gate should be made flexible.
Meanwhile, having served as the state’s Commissioner of Works, the Governor possesses in-depth knowledge and experience in road construction and infrastructure development.
The report said he has is always expressed concern about quality and standards.
Gov.Yusuf, was in Morocco a few days back where he was Conferred with an Award as the best Africa Governor of the Year.
