    NG-CARES distributes 27 Motorcycles to Facilitators in Jigawa LGs

    Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery And Economic Stimulus NG-CARES Results area II (FADAMA CARES), has distributed motorcycles to 27 facilitators across Jigawa state.
    During the hand over ceremony which held in Dutse on Thursday, the State Programme Coordinator, Dr. Aliyu Inuwa-Dutse, charged the facilitators to utilize the motorcycles responsibly.

    He said that the distribution aims qt supporting their field operations and ensuring effective service delivery.

    Inuwa-Dutse highlighted the importance of the intervention in strengthening the facilitators’ mobility and urged them to adhere to the signed agreements of maintenance of the motorcycles.

    “These motorcycles are provided to ease your fieldwork and improve the overall impact of FADAMA CARES in Jigawa State.

    “It is your responsibility to ensure they are used solely for the intended purposes,” the Coordinator emphasized.

    In his remarks, a member, benefiary targeting selection committee, Mr Aminu Adamu commended the facilitators for their efforts in the success of FADAMA CARES programme in the state.

    He said the gesture is part of the programme’s effect to acknowledge and reward them for their tireless efforts.

    Mr Adamu however, urged them to ensure proper maintenance and securing of the motorcycles for a long lasting benefit.

    Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Kazaure facilitator,  Malam Yahaya Muhammad, expressed gratitude for the intervention.

    He described it as a timely solution to the transportation challenges they faced in reaching rural communities, especially the hard to reach areas.

    Muhammed however, urged NG-CARES to provide support to the facilitators, for fuelling and maintenance of the motorcycles.

    He assured the team of the facilitators’ commitment to use the motorcycles effectively, to achieve the goals of the FADAMA CARES initiative.
    The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Nigeria Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES) programme, is an emergency operation designed to support the vulnerable.
    The programme is aimed at mitigating the impact of COVID-19 and other crisis on livelihoods of poor and vulnerable households.
