Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NiPR), has condoled Gov. Umar Namadi of Jigawa state for the demise of his mother and son during the past weeks.
A statement signed by the state Commissioner for Infomation, Youths, Sports and Culture, Mr Sagir Musa made this known on Tuesday, said the team was at the government House Minday evening.
It said that the delegation, led by the National President and Chairman of the Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku, conveyed heartfelt sympathies on behalf of the NIPR and its members nationwide.
According to the statement, Neliaku described the deaths as monumental loss experienced by the Governor and his family, emphasizing their support solidarity.
“In this moment of grief, the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations on behalf of its members, offer prayers for the repose of the departed souls,” the statement revealed.
In response, Governor Namadi expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Neliaku and the NIPR leadership for their concern and solidarity.
Namadi according to the report, said he will remain eternally grateful for the compassion by institute.
The statement further disclosed that following the condolence, the Jigawa state government hosted a dinner at the Banquet Hall of the Government House.
It was gathered that the NIPR leadership arrived Dutse, in preparation for the conferment of investiture, on Gov. Namadi, as a patron of the institute.
The ceremony, scheduled to be held on Tuesday, will also feature the presentation of the prestigious Diamond Prize Award for Excellence in Food Security, recognizing the Governor’s outstanding contributions to agricultural development and food security.
