University Don, Dr Mubarak Cisse, has said that the Tinubu administration has improved the socio-economic activities by boosting farmers’ livelihood, amongst other interventions.

He stated this in a paper presentation, at a one day sensitization held in Dutse, Jigawa state, to educate the citizens on the FG’s economic interventions and policies.

According to him, The Federal Government, under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has launched interventions to improve the agricultural sector. 

Wheat farmers in 12 Local Government Areas of Kebbi State, he said, have received inputs via the Nigeria Agricultural Growth Project (NAGAP).

He further explained that the Tinubu administration had assisted ginger farmers in Kaduna state, with a N1.6 billion support package.

He said the above initiatives demonstrate the administration’s commitment to improving the livelihoods of farmers and boosting agricultural productivity.

In his paper titled ” The Northwest Milestone” highlighted some of the interventions on  the infrastructure sector, saying that the administration has commissioned the N2 billion Yauri Water Scheme in Kebbi State.

The interventions he explained, would provide access to clean water for thousands of people.

Furthermore, he stressed that 55 facilitators were trained in Zamfara State, through Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) sessions.

In the education sector Cisse said, the administration has provided financial support to students, through Nelfund loans, with about 8,978 students of Federal University Dutsin-Ma receiving N909 million.

He noted that 5,451 students of the federal University Dutse, have received the sum N593 million, while 6,480 students from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, received N578 million respectively.

In his remarks, the Head of Federal Information Centre, Dutse, Jigawa State, Mr Bashir  Galadanchi, explained the aim of the sensitisation campaign.

He said that is aims at highlighting the achievements recorded under President Bola Tinubu and to receive a feedback from the citizens.

Mr Galadanchi however, revealed that the event also aimed at providing the citizens with an avenue to channel their demands to the Federal Government.

According to him ” Our door is always open for any groups or individuals who wants to forward citizens demands to Federal Government” he said.

He assured that the demands of the citizens presented at the Forum, will be compiled and forwarded to the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, for appropriate action.

It was gathered that the one-day sensitization, was sponsored by the Minister of Information and National Orientation Agency, Mr Idris Mohammed.
